What to Expect

puppy1.png When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service.  We at Tri-County Animal Hospital in Cumming GA have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet.  We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.  Call (770) 887-4530 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

Once a year, you should take your adult pet in for a preventative check-up.  Puppies and geriatric pets require more frequent visits.  This will include a full physical exam and age/risk appropriate laboratory tests. Based on the these results, the doctor will recommend a plan of action to keep your pet heatlthy. This may be as simple as age/risk appropriate vaccinations, parasite control, and nutritional advice or as involved as in-depth lab work, radiographs, or surgery.  Drs. Teal, Wyatt-DaCosta, or Huggins will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Tri-County Animal Hospital for service.

Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic.  It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts.  If you have something like this, share it with our team.  If not, let us know everything that you think will be important.  The doctors will appreciate whatever information you have.  If an estimate for services is not offered, PLEASE ASK!  It is very easy to provide and the doctors will do their best to stay within the estimate.  Please remember the practice of medicine is not exact and cannot guarantee results.  You will be kept advised of your charges but you must remember an estimate is an ESTIMATE.

In some circumstances, or if requested at any time, the doctors will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.  We will assist you with your appointment, help with directions and provide appropriate reports to the specialist.
